In order to qualify for the Stanford Rate, the Stanford affiliate must occupy the apartment as his/her principal place of residence. A premium of $200 per month applies to new leases and renewals with a duration of less than 6 months. Colonnade Apartments is currently only renting to 1A thru 2B priorities.
Eligibility Categories 1a through 2b:
- 1 Bedroom Rates From $2,755 to $3,287
- 2 Bedroom Rates From $3,382 to $4,163
Lease Renewals
At least 60 days before your lease is set to expire, you will receive a renewal letter in the mail. It will contain your new rental rate and an information form that needs to be completely filled out. You will also need to provide a copy of current renter's insurance. Eligibility For Living At Colonnade Apartments
1st Priority - employed by Stanford or SLAC
- 1a. Faculty
Faculty and N11 Staff employed by Stanford University, including SLAC and VA, and Senior Fellows members of the Academic Council at Special Policy Centers and Institutes (e.g. Institute for International Studies and Hoover Institution). Also includes acting and visiting faculty. - 1b. Public Safety Officers employed by Stanford
- 1c. Other Staff
Staff employed by Stanford University or SLAC
2nd Priority
- 2a. Stanford Hospital & Clinics (SHC)
SHC employees. Includes medical residents and interns. - 2b. Visiting Fellows
Visiting fellows employed at Stanford. Includes visitors to Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS).
3rd Priority
- 3. All other households who do not meet the criteria for priorities one or two.
Rental Rate Eligibility
Non-Stanford rental rates may also apply to those renters who are ineligible for the Stanford rate. In order to maintain occupancy at the Stanford Affiliate Rate, the original eligible Stanford person must occupy the apartment as their principal place of residence. If the Stanford affiliate is in contract to purchase a home or owns a home within the Qualifying Area or one using Stanford’s programs, the affiliate will be subject to paying a non-Stanford rental rate.
